This store is so unique and perfect!! Me and my wife went along to get some souvenirs and we just came across this store. The owner was extremely kind and friendly and the store is very much similar to a hallmark movie kinda store. We genuinely wish there were more stores like this across the USA and more people like this store owner. Would definitely come back here.

We drove up to Tallulah Falls today and stopped in to The General Store. We had such a special time here. After buying farm fresh eggs and a King of Pops Popsicle, I enjoyed rocking on the porch with my family. It was such a great experience and we can’t wait to go back!

Hidden gem...magical. The owner and I had a nice conversation and I even bought a t-shirt. Lots of cool items from old fashioned candy, food, candles, dishes...etc..

The center of the community- you will be greeted warmly . Sit on the porch and enjoy your glass bottle drink and maybe a snack . Truly a unique place to visit, feels like coming to your Grandmother’s house. You will love it!

The General Store is such an amazing place to visit! It’s literally an experience in itself! Take a trip back in time! My husband and I are in love!!! The owner Mary Beth was such a jewel! We enjoyed talking with her, and hearing the history as well as her story! We could have talked to her all day! Seriously this store is such a treasure!!! It’s the legit old general store, and the inside is spectacular!! We can’t wait to bring the grands back in August! We also can’t wait to visit every single time we come back this way!!!

What a treasure! This place is adorable and packed full of great stuff with super friendly staff that make you feel welcome like an old friend. Many, many local artisans (pottery, glass, windchimes, handmade soaps, jams, local honey and more) are featured, as well as new vintage toys and nostalgic candy, and even some hiking gear.

If you are passing near Talullah Gorge State Park be sure to visit the nearby town of Talullah Falls. Not much of the town remains today however the General Store is not to be missed! It is housed in one of the only original surviving buildings and is well over 100 years old. Even many of the shelves and fixtures are original. It is an operating store and has a wonderful traditional appearance. An excellent mix of new, traditional and antique merchandise. I met the owner and she was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local history of the town. Be sure to take a break and step back in time with a visit to this amazing store. A Nehi soda and an ice cream treat will brighten any day.

I try and stop here every time I am in Tallulah. They actually sell cool, local made stuff and used outdoor gear. It is a shame they aren’t at the Tallulah Point Overlook location anymore because the new people who own that location only sell 3D printed garbage and landfill slop. I ❤️ this spot

What an ultra-charming place!! It literally has it all - groceries, souvenirs, gifts, an art gallery, locally handmade jewelry and crafts, including amazing soaps, new and gently used camping gear, an ice cream parlor with milk shakes, old fashioned candy and sodas, snacks, retro and new toys and eclectic art pieces - in the same storefront as the original Tallulah Falls General Store that began in the early 1900s. Mary Beth Hughes has brought this Tallulah Falls staple back to life with a flare that is all her own! From the colorful rockers and handmade wind chimes on the front porch, to the stained glass pieces, everything about this place says "Come on in and stay awhile!!" You won't be sorry!

Really nice little place - a gem from a time that has since past... We enjoyed an ice cream and some candy after a hike in the heat. Real cone ice creams made the hike more bearable for our kids. We really enjoyed this.
